Packed out for our backcountry camping trip in Killarney out of Wigawa lodge. Been here many times and it is always a pleasure to book and get our gear all set up with Stacy, as she is so responsive and informative. John took us on a water taxi to our first portage and is so knowledgeable on the whole park and its trails. They make this place feel so welcoming, and our journey always starts so smooth because of them and all their help.
Loved the place and smooth sevice. My son and I rented a 2 seater canoe and a cabin for overnight sleep before our 4 day trip to Grace and Nellie lakes.Highly recomanded rather than taking long drive early morning.Will be back next year.
We stayed here twice while going to pancake Bay once on the way up. Once on the way back. The place is a little treasure. John and Stacy are the most amazing hosts and will regale you with incredible stories of local history and interesting places. I highly recommend that anyone wanting to experience Killarney Park stay here and have John or Stacy take you into the park. Five star ratings all around.

A great way to explore the NW quadrant of Killarney! We rented a canoe and paddled to Nellie Lake (one of the ultra clear lakes) via Howry Creek - it took about 11 hours to get there and back, a long day and a lot of paddling (note we did not portage the canoe up to Nellie, but rather hiked and then swam, as it is an extremely steep portage) but worth it! Widgawa also offers a boat in service if you don't have the time or energy for 8+ hours of paddling in a day.
My sons and I stayed in Cabin 9 at Widgawa Lodge for one night before heading out on a three-day canoe trip in Killarney Provincial Park. Widgawa was our outfitter for canoe rentals and we opted for the water taxi service.A memorable highlight was when John kindly took us on a ride around the lake, sharing captivating stories about the area’s rich history, including the legacy of the Group of Seven. It was a special experience that made our visit even more meaningful. Stacey and John go the extra mile to ensure their guests have a great stay. This was our first visit and we’ll happily come back.
My friends and I did a backcountry camping portage trip in Killarney, starting from Widgawa Lodge. Stacey and Darren were extremely helpful in assisting us to plan our trip and make canoe reservations months in advance. They had generous early bird and group size discounts. We enjoyed having their ultra light canoes, and renting clear-floored kayaks on Nellie Lake. Stacey helped me to make a number of adjustments to the trip. The service and facilities at the Lodge are excellent, and staff members are friendly and helpful. Widgawa contributed to the big success of our camping trip, we couldn't be happier!
